Fabien Report

In the meantime, I am trying to decipher the following email that I received today from Fabien, the French backpacker, who is back in France for a time after performances in Guatemala and Montreal. I get the sense that things are going well.

... Just watch this fantastic pict Steve ehehhehehe you' ll love it aaaahhahaha !!! ... i like all of yours too ... so good the painting one hey thank you !!! ... world soccer cup brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr shame on france !!! ... it s the mess you can' t believe at home .... it s a disaster mi madre !!! but still happy days time with family/friend wine and cheese !!! .. .. i'm full busy and yeah ll be easy to make $$$ meanwhile you lifting weights eheheheh !!! that s the way !! ...and no worries i'm a pilote on my bike (serpico is my nickname) but i can t ride my motorcycle this time brrrrrr coz i ve only have 2 points on my driving license until the 9 october this year ... i have to wait 3 months then on road again !! ... so i see you feel good in San Miguel, have good time and for sure i ll tell ya' my way back ... would be great to catch up my cap'tain ... all the best forget the rest !!!

Thanks so much to Stagg and you for thinking of me, Candy. It was a brutal game for Mexico, needless to say, but not entirely unexpected.

I am not a fan of Argentina. They are as good at trash-talking as they are at fútbol. Therefore, on the theory that the enemy of my enemy is my friend, I have suddenly become a big fan of Germany and whoever else plays Argentina.

Nobody down here likes Argentines. Snooty folks.
